Vice President Han Zheng met in Beijing on the 22nd with foreign representatives attending the Third High-Level Meeting of the Global Shared Development Action Forum.

Han Zheng stated that since President Xi Jinping proposed the Global Development Initiative five years ago, it has received positive responses and broad support from the international community. With joint efforts from all parties, significant progress has been made in implementing the initiative. China hopes to use this meeting as an opportunity to further build consensus with all parties, adhere to an action-oriented approach, increase resource investment in global development cooperation, advance cooperation in key areas, promote green and sustainable development, ensure that development benefits more people, and work together to build a global community for shared development.

The attending foreign representatives congratulated China on successfully hosting this meeting, expressed full support for President Xi Jinping’s Global Development Initiative, highly appreciated China’s contributions to global development, reaffirmed that their governments firmly adhere to the One-China principle, and expressed willingness to deepen collaboration with China to jointly promote greater progress in global development.
