On the morning of September 3, a grand gathering commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was solemnly held at Beijing’s Tiananmen Square. A magnificent military parade was conducted to mark this great day together with people around the world and jointly create a brighter future.

Guests attending the ceremony expressed that the journey from suffering to glory, from decline to rejuvenation, was hard-won. This memory belongs to the nation and also to the world.

Looking back at the path traveled, under the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese nation has achieved a great leap from standing up, becoming prosperous, to growing strong. The torch of spirit is being passed among strivers in the new era.
