On September 19, the third “New Yueshang Young Entrepreneurs Training Class,” jointly organized by eight departments including the Yuexiu District United Front Work Department, the District Organization Department, and the District Federation of Industry and Commerce, commenced at the South China University of Technology. Over 60 outstanding young entrepreneurs from the district participated in the opening ceremony.

During the event, responsible persons from the Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce and Yuexiu District expressed that young entrepreneurs should be pioneers who care for their country, strivers for innovation, practitioners of lawful operations, and partners in common prosperity, demonstrating the responsibility and positive image of Yuexiu’s private entrepreneurs.

The opening ceremony also included the presentation of honorary advisor certificates for the “New Yueshang Young Entrepreneurs Cultivation Project” and a class flag handover ceremony.

The Yuexiu District Party Committee and District Government have always placed great importance on building a strong contingent of private entrepreneurs, focusing on young entrepreneurs as key targets for cultivation and treating the “New Yueshang” cultivation work as an important task.

Since 2023, the District United Front Work Department and the District Federation of Industry and Commerce, together with eight departments including the District Organization Department, the District Publicity Department, the District Development and Reform Bureau, the District Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry, the District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and the District Commerce Bureau, have implemented the “New Yueshang Young Entrepreneurs Cultivation Project.” Leveraging the teaching and research advantages of the South China University of Technology, they have successfully held two sessions of the “New Yueshang Young Entrepreneurs Training Class,” receiving positive social feedback. Many participants, after the training, have deepened their patriotic sentiment, strengthened their ideals and convictions, boosted their development confidence, and successfully promoted internal corporate reforms and development, achieving breakthroughs in product innovation and market expansion, significantly enhancing their companies’ competitiveness.

Facing a complex and ever-changing market environment, increasingly fierce industry competition, and continuously upgrading technological demands, many young entrepreneurs still need to further enhance their capabilities and broaden their horizons in areas such as strategic planning, team management, risk prevention and control, and innovation transformation. Based on this consideration, this session of the training class, building on the experience of nearly two years of young entrepreneur cultivation, advances the cultivation work from version 1.0 to the 3.0 era. Version 1.0 focused on improving young entrepreneurs’ enterprise management capabilities. Version 2.0 went further, concentrating on detailed research and practical problem-solving in regional economic development. Entering the 3.0 era, “New Yueshang” shifts its focus to enhancing young entrepreneurs’ international perspective and ability to apply cutting-edge technology, adhering to the principle of “practical orientation, precise empowerment,” to build a learning and exchange platform for participants to “recharge, empower, exchange, and jointly plan development,” aiming to cultivate a contingent of private entrepreneurs with patriotic sentiment, effective management skills, and successful enterprise development, making them a new core force driving high-quality development in Yuexiu.
