According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, an orange rainstorm warning remains in effect as of 6:00 PM on August 5.

It is forecasted that from 8:00 PM on August 5 to 8:00 PM on August 6, parts of Guangdong, central and eastern Guangxi, southern Hunan, southern Jiangxi, southeastern Sichuan, southwestern Chongqing, as well as western and northeastern Henan, southwestern Shandong and the northern part of the peninsula, southeastern Liaoning, and southern Yunnan will experience heavy to torrential rain. In particular, parts of central and western Guangdong, eastern Guangxi, and southeastern Sichuan may face torrential rain, with localized extreme downpours (250–350 mm). Some of these areas may also experience short-term heavy rainfall (maximum hourly precipitation of 20–50 mm, locally exceeding 70 mm) and localized thunderstorms and strong convective weather.

Precautionary Guidelines:

1. Governments and relevant departments should carry out emergency flood prevention measures as required.

2. Cut off hazardous outdoor power sources and suspend outdoor work.

3. Units in high-risk areas should suspend classes and operations, taking special measures to protect the safety of students, children, and employees.

4. Implement urban and farmland drainage measures and guard against potential mountain floods, landslides, and mudslides.
