Chongqing Customs reported on October 17 that motorcycle exports reached 19.86 billion yuan in the first three quarters of 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 37.9%.

Chongqing, known as the “Motorcycle Capital,” has positioned high-end motorcycles as one of its key characteristic advantage industrial clusters targeted to reach hundreds of billions in value.

A representative from Chongqing Yuantai Motorcycle Industry Co., Ltd. stated that over 90% of the company’s orders come from overseas markets including Europe, the Americas, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, with motorcycle enthusiasts being their primary customer base.

The representative noted that thanks to industry development, the company’s order volume has been growing year by year. Their recently completed production base in Chongqing’s Beibei district has quadrupled their production capacity compared to previous levels.

A representative from Chongqing Zongshen Motorcycle Industrial Manufacturing Co., Ltd. explained that the company enhances the climate and geographical adaptability of their motorcycles during the design phase to improve global competitiveness. For example, they reinforce cooling systems for high-temperature, arid conditions in Africa and the Middle East; strengthen waterproof and anti-rust systems for hot, humid, and rainy climates in Southeast Asia and South America; and enhance cold-start technology, high-altitude power compensation, and anti-freeze/anti-slip configurations for cold, mountainous markets like Northern Europe.
