The “Yokohama Oktoberfest 2025” will be held for 18 days from September 26th to October 13th at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Plaza (1 Shinko, Naka-ku, Yokohama).
Starting in 2003 as an event faithfully recreating the authentic Munich beer festival in Germany, this marks its 22nd year. Featuring approximately 100 types of beer and German food, it is an annual autumn event that attracted over 130,000 people last year.
This time, in addition to offering the original beer “Yokohama Oktoberfest Beer 〈Helles〉” jointly developed with Yokohama Beer, beer will be poured into special beer mugs created for the event by “Noritake,” which has its roots in the opening of Yokohama Port, allowing visitors to enjoy a taste and design unique to Yokohama.
The venue will offer beers from six major German breweries, including Hofbräu, as well as limited edition beers making their debut in Japan.
Another feature is the spatial design, introduced after on-site inspections, including large German-style tents, decorations, beer garden seating, and hut-style Hofbräu booths. Live performances by a German band and lighting effects create an energetic atmosphere just like the original event.
Consideration is also given to those who do not drink alcohol, with non-alcoholic drinks and beverages other than beer available at all stalls. “Sunshine beer,” fruit beer, and glitter cocktails are also on offer. The number of reserved seats has been expanded to about twice that of last year, helping to avoid congestion.
The event will run from September 26th to October 13th. On weekdays, hours are from 12:00 to 21:30 (starting at 15:00 on the first day only), and on weekends and holidays from 11:00. Admission is 500 yen (free for junior high school students and younger). October 1st is Yokohama Citizens Free Day, and October 8th is Yokohama DeNA BayStars Day.
