The continuously shifting political dynamics have led the PDIP Surabaya City Branch Leadership Council (DPC) to take strategic steps by carrying out a management update. Several names of prospective new administrators have already undergone the process, and their documents have been submitted to the PDIP Central Leadership Council (DPP).
The Acting Chairman of the DPC emphasized that ahead of the Branch Conference (Konfercab), the party machinery remains solid in carrying out organizational agendas and community programs.
“Organizational consolidation agendas must not interfere with the party’s ideological agenda. We continue to operate according to plan while awaiting the DPP’s decision regarding the conference results,” he stated.
Amid the internal consolidation process, the PDIP Surabaya DPC is also prioritizing several tangible programs for the community. One of them is the intensification of issuing Membership Cards (KTA), both for new members and for renewing old KTA cards.
According to the source, this step is being taken by optimizing the party structure down to the sub-branch or neighborhood (RW) level. “Currently, we have 963 administrators at the sub-branch level. They are the front line for cadreship to ensure the membership base is more organized and solid,” he explained.
In addition, the DPC also emphasizes the importance of the stunting prevention program that has been running since last August. These efforts are confirmed to be sustainable, not merely ceremonial activities.
“We want Surabaya to truly move towards 0 percent stunting. Therefore, we monitor this program every month,” he asserted.
Not only focused on health issues, PDIP Surabaya is also preparing leadership training for high school students as a step to prepare a competitive young generation. On the other hand, social activities such as mass circumcisions will also be held at the DPC office to serve the wider community.
Ahead of the Branch Conference, it was confirmed that the entire party structure continues to operate according to the organizational agenda. Meetings at the Sub-Branch Administrator (PAC) level have been completed, as has the psychometric testing process for prospective administrators. Now, the DPC is only waiting for the official decision from the DPP.
“The party machinery must remain alive. Consistency in overseeing political programs and community agendas is the key to ensuring PDIP continues to be present among the people,” he concluded.
