The Social Security Administrator (BPJS) for Employment or BPJAMSOSTEK provides an opportunity for all workers to realize their dream of owning a home through the Additional Service Benefits (MLT) housing program.

The Head of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Cimahi Branch Office stated that these additional service benefits are a housing program aimed at providing ease and certainty for workers in owning a home.

“This MLT housing program is a real manifestation of BPJAMSOSTEK in supporting the ‘one million houses’ program with the goal of improving the economy, opening job opportunities, and protecting workers to enhance their welfare.”

It was explained that the ease of obtaining renovation and housing is an additional service benefit from the Old Age Security (JHT) program as regulated in Government Regulation (PP) Number 46 of 2015 concerning the Implementation of the JHT Program. Furthermore, Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) Number 17 of 2021 concerning Amendments to Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 35 of 2016 regarding the Procedures, Requirements, and Types of Additional Service Benefits.

“There are four types of additional service benefits that BP JAMSOSTEK participants can access, namely home ownership credit (KPR), housing down payment loan (PUMP), housing renovation loan (PRP), and worker housing financing facility/construction credit (FPPP/KK).”

It is important to know that MLT is an additional service facility provided by BPJAMSOSTEK to participants in the form of bank interest that is lighter than other commercial interest rates on KPR loans with a maximum house price of 500 million, Housing Down Payment Loan (PUMP) maximum of Rp150 million, and Housing Renovation Loan maximum of Rp200 million.

“In this home ownership program, BPJAMSOSTEK collaborates with several banks (Bank Tabungan Negara & Bank BJB) and developers to help workers own homes at very competitive prices, with interest subsidies, lower interest rates than commercial rates, and longer loan tenors, up to a maximum of 30 years.”

To obtain these benefits, participants must have been registered as BPJAMSOSTEK participants for at least one year, and participate in at least three programs including JHT, Work Health Insurance (JKK), Death Insurance (JKM), and actively pay contributions.
