Recently, the first “Ctrip Night” event of the “Amazing Jiuzhaigou, Beautiful Aba Prefecture” national tour Shanghai station promotional activity was launched at Shanghai North Bund Square.

“Ctrip Night” Draws Major Attention at Its First Stop

This “Ctrip Night” was themed “Aba Tourism, Travel with You”. Aba Prefecture joined hands with Ctrip to carry out a series of exciting promotions ranging from investment and visitor attraction to travel routes, from digital platforms to cultural and tourism creativity. These included investment and tourism promotion for Aba Prefecture, a special promotion for the “Travel Aba with One Phone” mini-program, promotion of “Giant Panda” cultural tourism resources and route product releases, as well as a preview of the game “Starting from Wolong”.

At the event, the Deputy Governor of the Aba Prefecture People’s Government announced the official opening of the Shanghai station promotional activities. Performances with strong ethnic characteristics such as “A La Qiang Se”, “A Ruo Ya”, and “Singing to the World” vividly displayed the unique charm of the beautiful Aba region.

It was stated that Ctrip will fully leverage its platform, resources, and industrial chain advantages to comprehensively assist in promoting Aba Prefecture’s cultural and tourism resources and expanding its visitor base through various means such as online traffic empowerment, smart cultural tourism development, and themed route promotion. This aims to allow more tourists to visit Aba Prefecture, jointly explore new paths for its cultural and tourism development, and make the cultural and tourism friendship between the head and tail of the Yangtze River shine even brighter.

It was emphasized that Aba is embracing new paradigms of the cultural and tourism industry with an open attitude. From the stunning landscapes of world natural heritage sites like Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong to the diverse folk cultures of Tibetan and Qiang ethnic groups, the cultural and tourism endowments of Aba Prefecture were comprehensively introduced. This promotion in Shanghai is an important step for Aba to “go global”, aiming to deepen cooperation with Shanghai and the world through cultural and tourism ties.

Data shows that Aba Prefecture ranks among the top in terms of tourist growth, successfully making it into the “Top 20 Chinese Destinations for Inbound Tourism”. Over the past year, inbound tourist bookings have increased significantly, with the proportion of visitors from Europe, America, and Southeast Asia continuing to rise, demonstrating Aba’s global appeal. The “Aba Planet Flagship Store” platform was introduced; it will integrate resources such as scenic areas, hotels, and folk experiences to provide one-stop services for global tourists, becoming an important digital window for Aba Prefecture. The “Travel Aba with One Phone” mini-program incorporates 12 types of service functions including ticket reservations, smart guides, and cultural interpretations into tourists’ phones, creating a personalized smart tourism experience of “a thousand scenes, a thousand faces”. This also marks the entry of Aba’s全域 tourism smart service system into the platform operation phase.

When it comes to the characteristics of Aba Prefecture, the giant panda is undoubtedly a shining名片. The giant panda eco-tourism routes and the ecological exploration game “Starting from Wolong” released on-site deeply integrate nature conservation with cultural tourism experiences, innovatively combining the ecological protection of the Giant Panda National Park with immersive digital experiences, opening up a new model of “tourism + education + digital interaction”.

At the event, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed. According to the agreement, Ctrip will build multi-language pages for Aba, carry out international social media promotions, and explore the “online cloud travel + offline experience” model, developing VR panoramic scenic spots and immersive cultural tourism products. With the help of Ctrip’s international distribution channels, Aba Prefecture’s tourism routes,特色 homestays, and cultural creative products will more easily enter the global market, accelerating the construction of an “international ecological and cultural tourism destination”.
