The Saudi Traffic Department explained the mechanism for authorizing vehicles through the “Absher” platform, where the service allows the vehicle owner to authorize another person to drive it electronically, without the need to visit traffic departments.
The Traffic Department stated on its page that the authorization steps begin by logging into the beneficiary’s account on the Absher platform and selecting “My Services,” then “Vehicle Services,” followed by the service for the vehicle to be authorized.
The Traffic Department indicated that after that, the user enters the authorized person’s data and reviews the authorization details and data before issuing it officially.
The Saudi Traffic Department confirmed that activating the authorization requires the approval of the authorized person, so that they can benefit from the service in a regular manner. This step comes within the framework of the Saudi Traffic Department’s efforts to facilitate electronic services and enhance digital transformation, which saves time and effort for beneficiaries.
