Kids’ Summer Festival Thrives with Exciting Online Games! The ‘Kids’ Expo in Namba’ was held on August 23rd and 24th at ‘e-Stadium Namba Main Store’.
The event was held at the e-Stadium Namba main store over two days, and we had the special opportunity to visit the session on the 24th!
The Children’s Expo in Namba is an experiential event aimed at fostering children’s self-esteem and independence through diverse content, allowing them to enjoy free-thinking and creativity.
This is the “e-Sports Field Day” experience booth.
Using the globally popular online game “Fortnite,” this booth featured live commentary by professionals.
Set on an original map recreating Osaka’s Dotonbori area, the gameplay involved capture-the-flag style matches. Children communicated with each other as they played, and sometimes teams of children faced off against teams of adults in heated online battles!
This is the “Roblox Experience” booth.
Participants could play a firefighting time-attack game in the popular game “Roblox” and enjoy the experience of being a firefighter.
This is the “Dream Drawing” and “Generative AI Experience” booth.
Children drew pictures of what they wanted to challenge or used generative AI to complete their drawings, turning their free imagination into tangible forms.
At the “Children’s Festival” booth, children who applied for the “Child Store Manager Experience” gathered and began their orientation.After receiving instructions, the children started preparing at their respective stalls.The “Children’s Festival” booth was also bustling with many visitors.The children serving as store managers actively helped with tasks like handing out tickets and explaining game rules.At the end, a “Child Store Manager Certificate” was issued, and the children received it with big smiles.
Although only a portion of the event was introduced here, every booth was a great success, filled with children’s smiles and sometimes serious expressions during gameplay!
According to the organizers, another event will be held!

Dotonbori is a vibrant entertainment district in Osaka, Japan, historically known as a theater and culinary hub since the early 17th century. It is now famous for its extravagant neon signs, the iconic Glico Running Man billboard, and its numerous restaurants serving local street food like takoyaki. The area runs alongside the Dotonbori canal, which was completed in 1615 and gives the district its name.

The Children’s Expo in Namba is a family-friendly event and exhibition space in Osaka, Japan, focused on interactive learning and play. While not a historical site itself, it is part of the modern Namba Parks complex, a renowned shopping and entertainment destination built on the former site of the Osaka Baseball Stadium. The expo offers various hands-on activities and workshops designed to inspire creativity and curiosity in children.
