A forest fire in Anapa has been extinguished over an area of 11.2 hectares, according to the resort city administration’s press service.

37 pieces of equipment and over 100 specialists were involved in extinguishing the fire: employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, “Kuban SPAS”, the Novorossiysk Forestry, the Forest Fire Station, as well as representatives of local services and Cossack groups.

Firefighting efforts were complicated by the difficult-to-access terrain. A helicopter with a water-dumping device was deployed, which performed 14 water drops since morning. The fire was completely extinguished at 13:45.
