Campaigns carried out by the Riyadh Region Municipality, with the participation of security agencies and several government entities in the Manfuha district, resulted in the closure of 124 violating establishments, the issuance of 812 notices and violations, and the disconnection of electricity to 11 locations.
52 carts and street vendors were detained, with the confiscation, seizure, and destruction of 31.9 thousand unfit products, the destruction of 143 kg of tobacco materials, nearly 6 tons of food items, and the recording of 450 violations for other entities.

The intensive campaign focused on inspecting food establishments, meat shops, cafes, mobile vendors, and some homes that had been converted into storage warehouses for food items, in addition to tobacco retail outlets.
The violations that were detected included the sale of tobacco products of unknown origin, the seizure of spoiled food items that were on their way to consumers, expired personal care products, poor hygiene standards, as well as the storage of food items in unsafe ways that cause contamination or spoilage, the conversion of homes into food warehouses, the sale of spoiled meat, the display of counterfeit tobacco products in locations that repeatedly violate regulations, along with violations related to licenses and municipal requirements.
This campaign is part of an ongoing proactive monitoring plan that includes daily and periodic tours of neighborhoods and locations with high commercial activity, with follow-up on violating establishments after campaigns to ensure the correction of their conditions, and the use of modern technical systems to accurately document and monitor violations, enabling rapid intervention and addressing any deficiencies.
