Budi Panjaitan, a volunteer from the Service House of Pdt. Penrad Siagian in Langkat Regency, on Friday, assisted in the referral process of a patient named Timbul Hasibuan.

The BPJS patient was in critical condition while being treated at a hospital in Langkat.

As local facilities were unable to provide further treatment, volunteers from Langkat coordinated with the Team of the Service House of Pdt. Penrad Siagian so the patient could be referred to RSUP Adam Malik Medan.

Shortly after, the team immediately coordinated with the Director of RSUP Haji Adam Malik Medan.

On the same day, the patient was successfully referred to Adam Malik with an emergency status to receive maximum treatment.

A member of the DPD RI from North Sumatra, Pdt. Penrad Siagian, appreciated the quick steps taken by the hospital director in responding to emergency patients, especially for underprivileged communities.

“Thank you to the Director of RSUP Adam Malik who always acts quickly and responds to patients with emergency status,” said Penrad in his statement.

“This is not the first time the service house team has coordinated with the director of RSUP Adam Malik; emergency and underprivileged patients always receive a quick response,” continued the Member of Committee I of the DPD RI.

He emphasized that speed and decisiveness in emergency services are very important, and this will further increase public trust in health services, especially in North Sumatra.

According to Penrad, the emergency handling situation at RSUP Adam Malik has shown a positive response.

He hopes this will be maintained and continuously improved, so that the people of North Sumatra can experience better health services and reduce mortality rates due to lengthy referral processes.

The system represents a major government initiative to provide universal social welfare coverage.

This appears to be a specific local church or parish team in Indonesia, likely named after a local religious leader, Pastor Penrad Siagian. Without more specific historical records, it is difficult to provide a detailed history, but such service teams are typically formed within Christian communities to organize religious activities, community service, and congregational support.
