According to reports, on August 20-21, Wang Jianlin visited Karamay to inspect investment promotion and cultural tourism development.
Wang Jianlin stated, “We are also exploring the possibility of cooperation with Karamay. We are interested, and if we collaborate, it will comprehensively enhance Karamay—whether in urban development or the happiness index of the residents—and will certainly bring significant benefits to Karamay.”
Since Dalian Wanda Group faced a financial crisis, Wang Jianlin has rarely appeared in public.
To alleviate financial pressure, Wanda has continued to sell assets. According to incomplete statistics, since 2023, Wanda has sold nearly 40 Wanda Plazas.
