The blood bank at King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Dammam received over 18,000 blood donors last year.
This number was a major support for the bank to be internationally accredited for the sixth consecutive time, meeting more than 100 stringent standards to ensure the safety and quality of blood and its derivatives.
