Recently, it has been learned that the Health Commission, Department of Finance, Department of Education, Women’s Federation, and Disease Control Bureau of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have jointly issued the “Implementation Plan for the Free HPV Vaccination Program for School-Age Girls in Guangxi,” officially launching the free human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination initiative for eligible girls in the region. According to the plan, over the three years from 2025 to 2027, nearly 960,000 school-age girls will receive free vaccinations.

The plan specifies that, based on the principles of informed consent and voluntary participation, all junior high school girls in Guangxi who are at least 13 years old but under 14 years old and have not previously received the HPV vaccine will be eligible for free inoculation with the domestic bivalent HPV vaccine. Additionally, HPV vaccination records will be incorporated into the immunization planning information system management to ensure traceability of vaccine sources down to the smallest packaging unit and verification of distribution, guaranteeing standardized and controllable procedures throughout the vaccination process.
