It is expected that during the day on August 20, parts of the Huanghuai region, Jianghuai, Jianghan, northern and central Jiangnan, southern Shaanxi and the Guanzhong area, and the Sichuan Basin will experience high temperatures of 35–39°C. Among these, local areas in the Guanzhong area of Shaanxi, central Henan, central and southwestern Shandong, and central and western Zhejiang could see maximum temperatures reaching 40°C or higher.

It is forecast that from 08:00 on August 20 to 08:00 on August 21, parts of eastern Liaoning, southeastern Jilin, eastern Qinghai, southern Gansu, northern Shaanxi, Shanxi, southeastern Beijing, Tianjin, central-southern and northeastern Hebei, southwestern Sichuan Basin, western and southern Guizhou, northern and southeastern Yunnan, central-eastern Fujian, northern Guangxi, and northwestern Guangdong will experience heavy to torrential rain. Among these, local areas in central Hebei will experience heavy downpours (100–130 mm). The aforementioned areas will be accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall (maximum hourly rainfall of 20–50 mm, locally exceeding 60 mm), with local thunderstorms and strong convective weather.
