Bekasi

The Bekasi City MUI, FKUB, and Cimuning Village officials have held a meeting with a woman with the initials PY, also known as Umi Cinta. She clarified several negative issues surrounding her religious gathering. What were the conclusions?

1. Umi Cinta Denies ‘Pay a Million to Enter Heaven’

The woman with the initials PY, alias Umi Cinta, spoke out regarding her religious gathering, which was narrated as promising entry to heaven for a payment of Rp 1 million in Cimuning, Mustikajaya, Bekasi City. Umi Cinta denied this.

“As I have already conveyed to the Chairman of the MUI and his staff, that is not true (regarding the Rp 1 million). All the confusing news so far, about paying Rp 1 million being guaranteed entry to heaven, that is not true,” said Umi Cinta.

Umi Cinta claimed to have sworn on the Quran. She asserted that the information related to ‘pay a million to enter heaven’ is a hoax.

“I have already sworn on the Quran earlier, it is not true. All the news that has gone viral, even to YouTube, is not true,” she explained.

“The truth is there is nothing deviant, there is no payment of 1 million guaranteed to enter heaven from me, it is not true,” she added.

2. Umi Cinta’s Statement Regarding Dogs

The religious gathering held by Umi Cinta in the Dukuh Zamrud Housing Complex, Cimuning, Mustikajaya, Bekasi City, sparked controversy. Residents protested several things related to the activities at Umi Cinta’s house, including the presence of a dog.

“I do have a petshop, but it has been closed for a long time. So, an animal boarding petshop would certainly have them, not just dogs, but cats, rabbits, all sorts,” said Umi Cinta.

Umi Cinta said the owner boarded the dog because they had to return to North Sumatra due to their mother’s death. However, that owner never came back for their dog.

“Well, since I am open, you know, we are kind, aren’t we? Being kind to humans might be common, but can we be kind to someone who is not kind to us? That, in my opinion, is an extraordinary human being,” she said.

“But after that, I looked for someone until I found a person who would truly love that dog. But it has been found, a long time ago. So, that’s all, there is nothing now,” she added.

3. Reason for the Closed Gathering

Umi Cinta also clarified the reason her gathering was held in a closed manner, which was also protested by residents. The reason, according to Umi Cinta, is that her house is air-conditioned.

“Closed does not mean the activity is secretive, or the teachings are secretive, but my house is closed because it has AC,” she stated.

4. Regarding the Mixing of Men and Women

Furthermore, Umi Cinta revealed the reason the gathering was held at her house was due to requests from the congregation. Umi Cinta mentioned there is a partition between female and male congregants during the gathering.

“There is a partition. Those who study at my house are one family; if there is a man, it’s the husband, if there is a woman, it’s the wife, if there are teenagers, they are the children,” she stated.
