On August 15, the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, appointed and removed the following ambassadors abroad based on the decision of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress:
1. Removed the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Cameroon;
Appointed Xu Yong as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Cameroon.
2. Removed the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Guinea;
Appointed Sun Yong as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Guinea.
3. Removed the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Cape Verde;
Appointed Zhang Yang as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Cape Verde.
4. Removed the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Union of the Comoros;
Appointed Huang Zheng as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Union of the Comoros.
5. Removed the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Tajikistan;
Appointed Guo Zhijun as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Tajikistan.
6. Removed the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Turkmenistan;
Appointed Ji Shumin as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Turkmenistan.
7. Removed the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Burkina Faso;
Appointed Zhao Deyong as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Burkina Faso.
8. Removed the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Jamaica;
Appointed Wang Jinfeng as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Jamaica.
9. Removed the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Barbados;
Appointed Zheng Bingkai as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Barbados.
10. Removed the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Thailand;
Appointed Zhang Jianwei as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Thailand.
