The General Administration of Customs released data on June 9 showing that in the first five months of 2026, China’s foreign trade continued its stable growth trend, with total imports and exports of goods reaching 20.68 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 15.3%. Among them, exports were 11.91 trillion yuan, up 11.8% year-on-year, and imports were 8.77 trillion yuan, up 20.5% year-on-year.

In May alone, China’s imports and exports reached 4.45 trillion yuan, exceeding 4 trillion yuan for three consecutive months, with the year-on-year growth rate further expanding to 16.9%.
