A woman in Laksanamekar Village, Padalarang District, cruelly sexually assaulted her own child.
Sadly, the incident came to light after the victim had just gotten married to her husband. As a result, the victim had to accept the bitter reality that her marriage had to end.
The victim, with initials SA (33), shared her tragic fate with her husband. Instead of receiving moral support, the victim was divorced by her husband.
A companion for victims of violence against women and children from the Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Department stated that the victim’s family filed a report regarding the incident on May 7, 2026.
“Based on the reporting family’s confession, the victim is suspected of having experienced sexual harassment and sexual intercourse committed by her own biological father for approximately eight years,” he said on Monday (June 8, 2026).
He added that on April 23, 2026, the victim married a man chosen by her family (arranged marriage).
“On the first night after the wedding, the victim spontaneously told her husband that he was considered more biologically virile compared to someone she had previously been with,” he said.
Furthermore, he stated that after hearing his wife’s confession, the victim’s husband immediately contacted his own family that same night and conveyed what the victim had told him.
“The extended family then held a meeting on May 7, 2026, to directly hear the explanation from the victim’s husband and also to ask for clarification from the victim,” he said.
During the meeting, the victim again admitted that she had experienced sexual intercourse allegedly committed by her biological father for eight years, up until just before her wedding.
“The victim’s father was known by locals as a ‘wise man’ or psychic. He often practiced alternative medicine in his area,” he said.
He mentioned that based on medical examination results, the victim was not pregnant from the act. However, the case will now proceed through legal channels.
“After the family meeting, her husband decided to divorce the victim and made a written statement,” he concluded.
