The next hearing in the case of the murder of two employees of a local bread factory and the attempted murder of a third took place on August 11.
A colleague, who also worked as a warehouse worker at the factory, spoke about the character of the accused, Elena Belashova. According to him, they worked together for about a year, and she “did her job normally” but had a volatile temper. However, he noted that he was not close to her and had no conflicts with her.
“There were no noticeable tensions among other colleagues either. The murder came as a huge shock to all of us,” the man said.
He also mentioned that Belashova and one of the victims, Zhanna Redvanova, had been friends for a long time and even celebrated holidays together.
“What happened between them—I don’t know, whether it was work-related or personal grievances. Zhanna had a good team; she was a decent manager,” the witness was quoted as saying.
The general director of the Krasnodar bread factory testified in court regarding the case of warehouse worker Elena Belashova, accused of murdering two colleagues and attempting to kill their supervisor.
According to her testimony, on July 3 of last year, Zhanna Redvanova, the head of the sales department, called her asking for help and sent an address. However, she suspected that someone else had written the message.
When she arrived at the apartment on Snesareva Street, Belashova met her at the door. She pressed a gun to the supervisor’s head, ordered her to lie face down, handcuffed her, and tried to gag her. The two other employees—Zhanna Redvanova and Tatyana Dromenko—were already dead by that point.
The woman was rescued by her son and a colleague from the factory who arrived at the apartment.
The warehouse worker accused of double murder and attempted murder was allowed to question the surviving victim in court on August 6.
