Customs officers of the Russian Federal Customs Service in Novorossiysk discovered approximately 24 tons of auto parts illegally imported from China.
During an inspection of a container intended for an individual entrepreneur from Krasnodar, inspectors identified 2,976 brake discs that were not declared in the documentation. The market value of this shipment exceeds 4 million rubles.
The goods have been seized. An administrative case has been initiated against the entrepreneur for failure to declare goods in the prescribed manner. Authorities are also considering opening a criminal case.
The offender faces a substantial fine and confiscation of the seized auto parts.
