Bengaluru, The Karnataka State Police Recruitment Board has invited applications for the recruitment of 3,395 Civil Police Constable positions across the state. According to the recruitment notification, online applications will be accepted from June 8, 2026, while the last date for submitting applications is July 3, 2026. Candidates can pay the application fee until July 4, 2026. The written exam will be held on August 2, 2026, between 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM.
Candidates who have completed Pre-University Course or an equivalent qualification are eligible to apply. The age limit is 19 to 35 years for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Category-1 candidates, 19 to 33 years for General Merit candidates, and 19 to 38 years for tribal candidates. Candidates who have served in the armed forces receive an additional five-year relaxation.
The application fee is set at 750 rupees for General Merit, Category-2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B candidates, and 500 rupees for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Category-1, and tribal candidates. The selection process will include a written exam, Physical Standards Test, and Endurance Test, followed by a medical examination.
The written exam will be an objective-type OMR-based test worth 100 marks, with a duration of one hour and 30 minutes. The prescribed physical standards for male candidates include a minimum height of 168 cm and a chest measurement of 86 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm. They must complete a 1,600-meter run within 6 minutes and 30 seconds, in addition to qualifying in long jump and high jump events.
For female candidates, the minimum height is 157 cm and weight must be at least 45 kg. They must complete a 400-meter run within 2 minutes and qualify in long jump and high jump events. During the medical examination, candidates’ physical fitness, vision, hearing ability, and overall health will be assessed.
