PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BRI, continues to strengthen its commitment to empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia through the LinkUMKM platform. As of April 2026, 16.46 million MSME entrepreneurs have used the platform to expand market access, improve business capabilities, and accelerate the upgrading of MSMEs.

With its development, the LinkUMKM app has become a digital training tool designed to boost the competitiveness of MSMEs across various regions in Indonesia. Currently, the platform offers six main features along with various supporting facilities, including UMKM Smart, Rumah BUMN, UMKM Media, Community, Digital Showcase, and Business Identification Number (NIB) Registration services.

LinkUMKM was created to address the needs of business owners in gaining access to market information while enhancing their administrative and business management skills. This step is part of BRI’s efforts to strengthen the people’s economy, aligning with the national vision to build an independent economy and strengthen the domestic MSME sector.

“Through LinkUMKM, every entrepreneur has the opportunity to participate in quality training that is relevant to their business needs. LinkUMKM is also designed as a solution to the main challenges faced by MSME entrepreneurs, namely limited access to information, training, and development support tailored to their business stage,” it was stated.

It was added that LinkUMKM is equipped with various integrated features to support the capacity building of business owners. Through this platform, MSMEs can take online training with materials designed based on real-world needs, making the learning process more practical and aligned with business requirements.

One of the standout features available is UMKM Smart, which provides specific business development recommendations based on the entrepreneur’s self-assessment. Additionally, there is a Self-Assessment for Upgrading feature that helps business owners identify their business capacity through a digital scoring system. Based on these assessments, users receive training recommendations tailored to their business category, ranging from traditional, developing, to modern MSMEs.

To enhance the learning process, LinkUMKM also offers over 690 training modules covering both technical and non-technical skills development. These materials are designed to help business owners run their operations more professionally and sustainably.

“We want the process of empowering MSMEs to not stop at training, but to truly help business owners understand their position and business potential. With this digital approach, every entrepreneur can learn and grow according to their capacity,” it was stated.

Going forward, BRI will continue to expand support for MSME entrepreneurs by providing access to learning, mentoring, and market connections within a single ecosystem. Through strengthening the digital ecosystem and integrated empowerment programs, BRI is committed to helping MSMEs become more adaptive, competitive, and capable of making a greater contribution to the national economy. Further information on BRI’s integrated MSME empowerment programs can be accessed through LinkUMKM BRI.

The existence of BRI’s LinkUMKM has provided real benefits for MSME entrepreneurs in various regions of Indonesia. One such beneficiary is a business owner from East Jakarta, Shinta Paramarti, with her product brand KainIndonesia.co, which uses traditional textiles as the main foundation of her products.

As her business grew, KainIndonesia.co marketed its products through various channels, from offline, marketplaces, to social commerce, with a market reach from local to export. Through LinkUMKM, KainIndonesia.co gained access to learning resources to strengthen business management while expanding its business network.

“Within LinkUMKM, there are various features that help MSMEs continue to grow, such as modules, consultations with MSME experts, and various events held every week. Entrepreneurs are certainly greatly assisted in managing their business for growth,” she stated.
