DEPOK – The Mayor of Depok, Supian Suri, is actively inviting all local residents, especially the younger generation, to promote and participate in the Free Hospitality Training Program. This vocational scholarship program was officially initiated by the Depok City Government through the Depok City Manpower Office, which in its execution closely collaborates with the management of Hotel Savero and the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association of Depok City. In an official statement on his personal Instagram account, the top official in Depok explained that this skills development program is intended for residents who meet the age qualification criteria of a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 28 years. This strategic step is positioned as a bridge to enhance competencies so that the region’s productive workforce can compete fairly in the job market.

The local government confirmed that the quota allocated to facilitate this free program is very limited, being reserved for only 100 participants who pass the registration selection. The deadline for submitting administrative documents and registration is set until June 10, 2026. Furthermore, Supian Suri emphasized that participants who successfully secure a training spot will be equipped with various essential and practical disciplines, ranging from the intricacies of hotel management to restaurant operational management. Through this comprehensive knowledge base, graduates are expected to have solid job readiness to be directly absorbed by the broad-scale hospitality industry, whether operating within the internal area of Depok City or outside the region. The authorities hope that this momentum can be optimally utilized by the community to boost the spirit of learning and create a positive multiplier effect for reducing regional unemployment rates.
