On June 1, three Chinese documentaries—”Xi Jinping’s Cultural Connection,” “Leading the Way (International Version),” and “New Thoughts from the Classics”—produced by China Media Group, premiered on mainstream Lao media including Lao National Television. Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee and President of Laos, sent a congratulatory letter expressing his congratulations on the broadcast of the programs.

In his congratulatory letter, Thongloun stated that the documentaries such as “Xi Jinping’s Cultural Connection” contain Chinese philosophical wisdom, reflecting Xi Jinping’s high regard for cultural heritage protection, his far-sighted vision in governance, profound and fervent patriotism, and his genuine boundless love for China’s five-thousand-year civilization. At the same time, the documentaries highlight that Chinese civilization, as the root and inexhaustible driving force of the nation, is propelling China toward the great dream of national rejuvenation. This serves as an excellent reference for Laos to protect and promote its unique national culture while advancing economic and social development and building socialism.

This year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Laos, as well as the “China-Laos Friendship Year” jointly initiated by the leaders of both parties and countries. On June 2, China Media Group and the Propaganda Department of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee held a launch ceremony in Vientiane, Laos. The three documentaries—”Xi Jinping’s Cultural Connection,” “Leading the Way (International Version),” and “New Thoughts from the Classics”—produced by China Media Group, will be broadcast successively on mainstream Lao media, including Lao National Television, Lao News Agency, Lao National Radio, and Vientiane Television.
