Hyderabad, The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested Forest Range Officer Ghulam Moinuddin of Kodimyal range in Jagtial district red-handed in a bribery case.
According to a press release issued by the ACB, Forest Range Officer Ghulam Moinuddin, posted in Kodimyal range, demanded a bribe from a complainant in exchange for issuing a transport permit for cutting and transporting 120 teak trees. The officer initially demanded a bribe of 2 lakh rupees. The complainant had already paid 1 lakh in cash on May 13.

Later, after the work was completed, the remaining bribe amount was reduced to 80,000 rupees at the complainant’s request. Today, the ACB team laid a trap and caught Ghulam Moinuddin accepting the bribe. The accused has been produced before the relevant court for further proceedings and sent to judicial custody.
