Hyderabad: A Sudanese citizen suffering from fever was admitted to the government Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad, Telangana. Officials provided this information on Friday. They stated that with this, the total number of Ebola-related admitted patients in the hospital has reached two. They said that the 20-year-old Sudanese student was admitted to Gandhi Hospital from a private health center on Thursday evening.

An official said the student’s condition improved and his fever subsided by Friday morning. They mentioned that the person accompanying the student has been advised to remain in home isolation. Earlier, on Thursday, another 35-year-old Sudanese citizen who arrived at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport was admitted to Gandhi Hospital after being found to have a fever during thermal screening at the airport.

Officials said that the 35-year-old man, who came to Hyderabad for knee surgery, did not have a fever by Friday morning and showed no symptoms. They stated that the test reports of both individuals are awaited. The Telangana government has prepared a special 10-bed ward for Ebola cases at Gandhi Hospital.
