Exercising while enjoying the natural atmosphere along the jogging track at Situ Cihuni, Pagedangan District, Tangerang Regency.

Now the face of Situ Cihuni, Pagedangan District, Tangerang Regency, has completely changed.

This 22-hectare lake was once known as an abandoned area. Tall grass, wild bushes, and even a creepy impression were once attached to the area.

The government, together with developers, revitalized the area into a water conservation zone, water catchment area, flood control, and ecotourism that is open to the public.

Along the lake shore, a one-kilometer jogging track has become a new attraction for residents. Fresh air combined with the shade of pine trees creates an atmosphere rarely found in the urban areas of Tangerang.

This is the view that residents who come to exercise enjoy every morning. Some go for a leisurely jog, cycle, or simply walk while enjoying the morning air.

The atmosphere becomes livelier when families start to arrive. Children run along the pedestrian paths, while parents sit and enjoy the clean and aesthetically arranged lake panorama.

Garden lights installed around the area make Situ Cihuni look beautiful in the afternoon and evening as well.

For Irawati, a resident visiting Situ Cihuni for the first time, this area offers a different experience compared to other open spaces in Tangerang.

She admitted she was initially curious after seeing many residents share the lake atmosphere on social media. But after coming directly, she felt as if she was in a nature tourism area outside the city.

“Now I’m exercising here. The air is still fresh, the view is beautiful, and there are many trees. It feels very peaceful,” she said.

According to her, the tropical atmosphere around the lake makes exercise activities more enjoyable. In fact, she invited her family to come and enjoy the sunrise and take a leisurely walk around the lake.

She immediately imagined how beautiful it would be to have a house in an area integrated with nature. “It feels like a vacation every day. After work, you’re greeted by a refreshing natural atmosphere. So I want to buy a house here,” she admitted while glancing at the Matera Lakeside gate located next to Situ Cihuni.

The major transformation of Situ Cihuni is indeed inseparable from the involvement of Paramount Land, which is developing a natural-themed residential area called Matera Lakeside.

The developer deliberately arranged the area by preserving the natural character and making the lake the center of a green open space.

Now Situ Cihuni is no longer a neglected area. The lake, once filled with bushes, has turned into a new hidden gem in Gading Serpong.

A green oasis that brings tranquility, exercise space, and a place for residents to enjoy the natural atmosphere again amidst rapid urban development.
