Jakarta – The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has officially established the implementation of Car Free Day on Rasuna Said starting June 7, 2026. This event is scheduled to take place regularly every Sunday from 5:30 AM to 9:00 AM WIB.

Regarding the implementation of this activity, road closures will be enforced on the North-South segment of Jl. Gembira to Jl. Raya Casablanca. Closures will also be enforced on the South-North segment starting from Jl. Prof. Dr. Satrio to Jl. Setiabudi Utara Raya or Setiabudi Tengah.

Alternative Traffic Diversion Routes

The closure of these road segments requires drivers to adjust their travel routes. Several alternative routes have been prepared to ease traffic from various directions.

Here are the details of the main traffic diversion routes:

  • Traffic from the East (Manggarai) heading West (Tanah Abang/Karet) can pass through Jalan Sultan Agung, Jalan Galunggung, Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur III, Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur II, to Jalan R.M Margono Djojohadikoesoemo.
  • Traffic from the West (Tanah Abang/Karet) heading East (Manggarai) can go via Jalan R.M Margono Djojohadikoesoemo, Jalan Galunggung, and continue to Jalan Sultan Agung.
  • Flow from the North (Menteng) to the South (Kuningan) is diverted through Jalan Galunggung, Jalan Gembira, Jalan Kuningan Persada, Jalan Kuningan Mulya, Jalan Achmad Bakrie Barat, to Jalan Casablanca.
  • Flow from the South (Kuningan) to the North (Menteng) is diverted via Jalan Denpasar Raya, Jalan Setiabudi, Jalan Setiabudi Utara Raya, Jalan Setiabudi Tengah, and ends at Jalan Galunggung.
  • Vehicles from the West (Tanah Abang/Karet) heading East (Kampung Melayu) are directed through Jalan K.H. Mas Mansyur, Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio, and Jalan Raya Casablanca. Conversely, flow from East to West goes through Jalan Raya Casablanca, Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio, and continues to Jalan K.H Mas Mansyur.

Special Routes to Surrounding Areas

In addition to the main routes, the Transportation Agency also regulates vehicle flow specifically to several specific points in the area. Check the following points.

For example, from the Karet Pedurenan area towards Menteng, drivers can pass through Jalan Denpasar Raya, Jalan Setiabudi Utara Raya, Jalan Setiabudi Tengah, and Jalan Galunggung.

  • Alternative route arrangements are also prepared for congregants wishing to go to places of worship. For instance, traffic from the north (Galunggung) towards GKDI Church or Trinity Church Jakarta is directed to pass through Jl. Galunggung, Jl. Setiabudi Tengah, Jl. Setiabudi Selatan, and continue to Jl. Denpasar.
  • For people heading to embassy facilities, vehicle flow from the north to the Russian Embassy or Greek Embassy is directed through Jl. Galunggung, Jl. Setiabudi Tengah, Jl. Setiabudi Selatan, to Jl. Denpasar.

The organizers have prepared special parking spaces for people arriving using private vehicles. There is a total availability of 3,687 Parking Space Units (SRP) around the event location. This SRP capacity is strategically distributed across 4 main parking locations as follows.
