The provincial government of Banten has confirmed that it will conduct a motor vehicle raid starting in June 2026, involving the Regional Revenue Agency, the police, and Jasa Raharja.

The operation will target vehicles with unpaid taxes and drivers who do not have complete vehicle documents while on the road.

The head of the Banten Regional Revenue Agency reminded the public not to wait until the raid to fulfill their vehicle administration obligations.

“We urge the public to take advantage of the time available by paying motor vehicle taxes and completing vehicle documents before the raid begins,” he said.

In addition to ensuring vehicle taxes have been paid, the public is also asked to check the completeness of documents such as the vehicle registration certificate and driving license, which must be active and valid.

According to the official, officers in the field will not only check vehicle taxes but also other driving administration requirements.

He also urged drivers to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy to reduce the risk of traffic accidents.

Furthermore, this raid aims not only to increase regional tax revenue but also to raise public awareness of the importance of being orderly in managing vehicle administration.

“This raid is not merely about enforcing rules, but also an effort to increase public awareness of the importance of tax compliance and orderly vehicle administration,” he said.
