The cafe, located in Surrey, British Columbia, has been targeted for the second time in a month. According to reports, a shooting occurred at Kapil Sharma’s ‘Cups Cafe’ in Surrey, marking the second such incident within a month.

A viral social media post, allegedly linked to gangsters Goldy Dhillon and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has claimed responsibility for the attack. The post stated, “Jai Shri Ram… Today’s shooting at Kapil Sharma’s Cups Cafe in Surrey is the responsibility of Goldy Dhillon and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang… The next action will soon take place in Mumbai.”

Fortunately, the staff members present inside the cafe at the time of the incident remained unharmed. The motive behind the attack is still unclear, though it occurred shortly after Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke attended the cafe’s reopening. This attack comes just weeks after a previous shooting in the second week of July, when multiple bullets were fired at ‘Cups Cafe.’ Police had launched an investigation into that incident.

According to Surrey Police, the shooting occurred around 1:50 AM local time while several staff members were inside the cafe. Thankfully, no one was injured. The cafe had recently reopened earlier that same week. The next morning, at least 10 bullet marks were found on one of the cafe’s windows, along with another shattered glass pane.
