On behalf of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, a government work report was delivered to the congress. It stated that over the past year, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and its plenary sessions was fully implemented, and the important speech made during an inspection tour of Shanghai was thoroughly studied and applied. Decisions and deployments from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council were resolutely carried out. Under the strong leadership of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, efforts were focused on promoting high-quality development, accelerating the construction of the “five centers,” and coordinating tasks to stabilize growth, promote transformation, benefit people’s livelihoods, and prevent risks. The goals and tasks set by the third session of the 16th Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress were successfully completed.
The fourth session of the 16th Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress completed all its agenda items and concluded successfully yesterday morning at the Shanghai Expo Center.
