A special Tulsi worship ceremony was organized with devotion and reverence on Tuesday at the Shri Mahalakshmi Vishva Shaktidham temple on Anand Mahal Road, Adajan, Surat, to mark the Adhik Maas (extra month). On the holy occasion of Ekadashi, a large number of female devotees participated in this religious ritual and performed the worship of Tulsi Mata following proper procedures.

The temple’s head priest, Hitesh Bhai, stated that Tulsi worship during Adhik Maas is considered to have special significance. According to religious beliefs, performing Tulsi worship during this period brings the special blessings of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, and ensures happiness and prosperity in the family.

The ritual, which lasted from 2 PM to 6 PM, saw enthusiastic participation from devotees. The temple premises remained filled with a devotional and spiritual atmosphere throughout. After the worship, Mahaprasad (holy food) was distributed to the devotees.
