In a residence in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, a woman was stabbed to death with a knife, and her brother-in-law has been arrested.
The suspect arrested on suspicion of murder is Toshihiro Tanaka, a 57-year-old newspaper delivery worker from Yokkaichi City.
According to the police, on May 16, the suspect is believed to have stabbed Naomi Tanaka, a 53-year-old part-time employee, multiple times with a knife at her home in Yokkaichi City, resulting in her death.
Naomi was the wife of the suspect’s older brother.
The suspect has admitted to the allegations and stated, “I stabbed her multiple times with a knife that was in the house.”
Witnesses reported seeing Naomi and the suspect arguing shortly before the incident, and police are investigating the motive for the crime.
