The coach is starting to formulate plans for the 2026/2027 competition season. After securing the championship title, the Croatian coach emphasized that the next focus is to build the team’s strength to remain competitive at both domestic and Asian levels.
He revealed that he will soon hold an internal meeting with the management to discuss the team’s direction for the next season. He mentioned that discussions with club officials will determine various important decisions, including player composition and team preparation plans.
“Regarding next season, today I will only have a meeting with Mr. Glenn and Stanley. I will discuss next season and you will know in a few days,” he said.
In addition to league competition, the team will also face an important schedule at the Asian level. The club, nicknamed Maung Bandung, is scheduled to play in the qualification round before the domestic competition begins in September.
According to Bojan Hodak, Persib Bandung will likely start training again in July 2026 while waiting for the official schedule from the AFC and the league operator.
“The new competition season will start on September 4. During this break, we also have to play qualification matches. Once we know the schedule, we will start training, likely in July,” he said.
Regarding the team composition, Bojan Hodak confirmed that Persib Bandung will not make major changes. The 55-year-old coach believes the current squad’s performance is solid enough, so the majority of players will be retained.
“Most of them, maybe 80 percent, will stay. When you are in first place, we don’t need to make many changes,” Bojan Hodak said.
He also added that this season’s situation is different from last season because most of Persib Bandung’s players are still under contract. This makes the chance of keeping the core team even greater.
With squad stability and the target of being competitive in Asia, Persib Bandung is predicted to become one of the strong candidates again next season.
