Tamil Nadu Politics: A new political controversy is emerging in Tamil Nadu. After the election, following Congress’s shift in allegiance, its former ally has expressed discontent. In Tamil Nadu, after the assembly election results, Congress decided to align with TVK, but due to this decision, it is now being targeted by its old partners.
In the Tamil Nadu assembly election, Congress was in an alliance with DMK. In the election, DMK won only 59 seats, while Congress secured 5 seats. Congress, which had contested elections with DMK for decades, separated from this alliance and joined TVK to become part of the government. Now, DMK has targeted Congress, accusing it of stabbing them in the back.
DMK youth wing chief and leader of the opposition, Udhayanidhi Stalin, targeted Congress by stating that DMK will not trust Congress at any cost. He said that Congress has acted like it stabbed them in the back. In a DMK meeting, Udhayanidhi Stalin said that Congress broke the alliance dharma for power. Stalin alleged that DMK supported Congress in every situation, but Congress, in return, abandoned them for political gain.
TVK’s victory due to social media
Meanwhile, former Tamil Nadu CM and DMK chief MK Stalin refused to consider TVK’s victory in the state as a political tsunami. He said that TVK’s success came because of social media and film popularity. He claimed that DMK still holds a strong position among the public.
