VNSGU and Employment Office Joint Initiative: 24 Companies Interview for 758 Positions; 305 Candidates Initially Selected
Surat. On the occasion of the 61st Foundation Day of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, a recruitment fair was organized on the university campus.
This mega recruitment fair was organized through a joint initiative of the university’s Assistant Director (Employment) office and the Employment Office, in which renowned companies from various sectors participated, providing employment opportunities to the youth.
The event was inaugurated by the university’s Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kishore Singh Chavda and Registrar Dr. R.C. Gadhavi. On this occasion, Assistant Director of the Employment Office, Surat, Parulben Patel, Bipinbhai Mangujiya, University Placement Officer Darshan Purohit, along with officials and staff from the Employment Office, were present.
A total of 24 companies from fields such as IT, Commerce, Management, Engineering, and other academic and non-academic sectors participated in the job fair.
These included prestigious companies like Vidyadeep University, Dharmanandan Diamond, Hariram Engineering, Harikrishna Export Private Limited, Axis Bank, Shubhlaxmi Valuers, Nanavati Automotive, Arihant Diamond, Shreeji Automart, and Khimji Ramdas India Private Limited.
More than 350 candidates participated in the recruitment fair for a total of 758 vacant positions. During the interview and preliminary selection process, 305 candidates were selected in one or more companies.
Selected candidates were offered salary packages ranging from 15,000 rupees to 40,000 rupees.
The university administration stated that such job fairs play a vital role in connecting students and youth with the industry and providing employment opportunities.
