VTB: Southern Residents Willing to Submit Biometric Data to Protect Against Fraudsters

The main motive for submitting biometrics for 49% of the residents of the Southern Federal District is the desire to protect their funds from fraudsters. Over the past six months, trust in biometric services has noticeably increased, a survey showed.

Among other reasons, 26% noted the convenience – no need to carry documents and cards. Another 22% chose easy authorization through biometrics in banks and on public services, 19% – the ability to withdraw cash without a card and phone, 15% – bonuses (for example, increased cashback).
