Participants will learn about the process of preserving architectural monuments and, in the competitive part, propose ideas for the restoration and modern use of one of Moscow’s cultural heritage sites.

From September 27 to November 22, the VIII Youth Forum “Heritage” will take place in the capital. It will bring together students from universities and colleges across 12 fields, including urban studies, history, sociology, and design. Young professionals will be divided into interdisciplinary teams, each with specific tasks.

“At the forum, young people will explore the process of preserving architectural monuments. In the competition, participants will propose ideas for the restoration and modern use of one of Moscow’s cultural heritage sites.”

Additionally, teams from Russian regions and friendly countries can develop projects for their own cities.

Applications for the competition are now open. Registration forms must be submitted by September 21.

Participants will also have the opportunity to attend lectures, workshops, and meetings with leading experts. Excursions to architectural bureaus and major industry companies will be organized for students.

The event will also feature a business program with panel discussions and presentations by historians, urbanists, economists, and other experts. The forum will conclude with a festival featuring hands-on activities, quizzes, a job fair, and film screenings.

The forum has been held in Moscow since 2018, bringing together around 100,000 participants over the years.
