Hyderabad: The 178th meeting of the IRISET Official Language Implementation Committee was held at the IRISET auditorium under the chairmanship of Director General Sharad Kumar Srivastava at the Indian Institute of Railway Signal Engineering and Telecommunications, Secunderabad.
According to a press release, Chairman of the Official Language Implementation Committee, Sharad Kumar Srivastava, in his presidential address, praised the progress of the official language in the institute and the efforts being made for its use and promotion. He stated that this progress in the official language should be maintained in the same manner, and continuous efforts should be made to accelerate it further. He expressed satisfaction with the progress in translation work of IRISET’s updated course materials. He motivated the institute to continuously perform excellently in the field of official language implementation by working in accordance with the guidelines of the Railway Board and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Praise for Hindi Promotion and Dissemination at IRISET
Additional Director General P.V. Rajasekhar congratulated the officers and employees, attributing the progress of the official language at IRISET to their collective efforts. He stated that IRISET should continuously strive to win the All India Railway Minister’s Official Language Trophy every year.
Deputy Chief Official Language Officer and Senior Professor Signal-2 T. Ramesh Babu said that all officers, faculty members, and employees are complying with the official language implementation in accordance with the annual program issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Railway Board. He requested all officers and employees to enthusiastically participate in events and competitions related to the official language.
The meeting was attended by IRISET institute officers, faculty members, section/laboratory in-charges, and supervisors. The organization of the meeting was contributed to by Salma Sharif, Senior Translator, and Rahul Kumar Saw, Junior Translator, from the IRISET Official Language Section. Official Language Officer Akhilesh Sharma conducted the meeting and presented a detailed discussion on various points of implementation through a PowerPoint presentation of the official language report.
