
Geneva, May 19, 2026 – Libya was elected Vice President of the World Health Assembly during its 79th session yesterday at the United Nations Palace in Geneva, with the participation of Health Minister Mohamed Al-Ghouj, health ministers, and representatives of member states from around the world.
The Assembly reviewed the most prominent global health challenges and ways to enhance international cooperation in the health sector during its meetings.
