In addition to the Sambo bull purchased from a breeder in Cipondoh, Tangerang City, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto also bought a 1.15-ton bull from a farm in Balaraja, Tangerang Regency.

The male bull, named Ambo, is a 4-year-old Brangus breed raised by Falahudin. The bull was selected to be sacrificed for the residents of Tangerang Regency during Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri/2026 AD.

Falahudin expressed happiness and pride that the bull he had cared for for 2.5 years was chosen as the one to be sacrificed by Prabowo.

“I have been raising this bull since it was 1.5 years old. It was bought by Mr. Prabowo for 110 million rupiah. I feel proud,” he said on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

Falahudin cared for and raised Ambo as if it were his own child. Ambo underwent regular health check-ups every three months by the Department of Agriculture and Food Security (DPKP) of Tangerang Regency.

These check-ups were conducted to ensure Ambo was a healthy sacrificial animal, compliant with Islamic law, and safe for consumption.

“Special care includes giving good feed daily, such as concentrate mixed with tofu pulp, and grass for greens. Health checks cover blood and feces. Every three months, it regularly receives deworming medication and has been vaccinated by the DPKP of Tangerang Regency,” he explained.

Ambo is planned to be handed over at the Al-Amjad Grand Mosque on the day of Eid al-Adha to be slaughtered at a slaughterhouse in the Tangerang Regency area.
