A 21-year-old woman was allegedly murdered in Jadcherla town, Mahabubnagar district, Telangana. According to police, the accused had been harassing the woman for some time under the guise of a romantic relationship.
The deceased has been identified as Y. Vaishnavi. She worked as a receptionist at a private school in Jadcherla. According to police, the woman had rejected the accused’s romantic proposal, after which he continuously stalked and harassed her.
Throat slit on the road
On Saturday, Vaishnavi was walking after getting off a bus. At that time, the accused attacked her with a knife in a public place. According to preliminary information, the accused slit the woman’s throat, causing her serious injury. Panic spread at the scene after the incident.
Local residents immediately rushed Vaishnavi to a nearby hospital, where doctors began treatment. However, she died during treatment. Police are investigating the case and searching for the accused.
