Today, the Tokai region is expected to experience the hottest temperatures of the year, with the highest temperature in Nagoya forecasted at 32°C, typical for mid-July.

In Kumi, Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture, 30.2°C was recorded at 11:20 a.m., marking the first truly summer day of the year in the three Tokai prefectures.

The highest temperatures today are forecasted at 32°C in Nagoya (mid-July levels), 31°C in Gifu and Yokkaichi, and 30°C in Tsu, all exceeding 30°C for the first time this year.

Additionally, Takayama is expected to reach 29°C, while Toyohashi and Owase are forecasted at 28°C.
