Hyderabad, Union Minister of Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy said regarding the increased prices of petrol and diesel that due to the war situation in the world, all countries are facing a crisis. India is not untouched by this. Therefore, the rates have been increased under unavoidable circumstances.

Responding to media questions, Kishan Reddy said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government waited for the war to end, but no conditions for the war to stop are visible. In such a situation, the central government had to increase the rates. He said that in crisis situations, countries like the United States, Germany, Japan, etc., also had to increase rates by 40 percent.

In this context, India is not immune to crises. Expressing displeasure over the opposition by the ruling party Congress and the opposition BRS, he said that the central government did not increase rates for these family-oriented parties to take bribes or commissions for their families, but steps were taken to ensure that there is no stagnation in development and welfare activities in the country. He said that burdening the public is not the central government’s goal, but steps are necessary to lift the country out of the economic crisis.

Impact of war crisis on oil supply

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the public not to buy gold to maintain foreign exchange reserves, but did not issue an order. He said that gold can be purchased if needed for weddings. He said that due to the war, there is an oil crisis in the world. India’s ships are arriving slowly. In such a situation, it is necessary to save oil. India spends lakhs of crores of rupees in foreign exchange to buy oil from abroad, which has started to weaken the rupee.

Kishan Reddy said that the Prime Minister has appealed to everyone to save oil, and the public is also cooperating, but BRS and Congress are trying to unnecessarily incite and provoke the public. He said that whether Congress and BRS support or not, Prime Minister Modi has united the public during crises. In this crisis too, we will unite and overcome the challenges with public participation.

Mentioning the central government’s provision of 5 kg of rice to the poor through ration cards, the construction of national highways and roads, and other basic facilities, Kishan Reddy said that the Modi government is using public funds properly. Therefore, the public also has faith in the central government.
