BEKASI CITY – The leadership of BAZNAS Bekasi City for the 2026-2031 period has been officially appointed by the Mayor of Bekasi. The appointment of these five leaders is legally stated in the Mayor of Bekasi Decree Number: 400.8.1/Kep.255-Kesra/V/2026.
The new leadership composition combines Islamic community figures and professionals: Drs. Sudarsono, M.Si. (Islamic Community Figure), Moch. Nurcholiq, S.Pd.I. (Islamic Community Figure), Umri Yasa, S.E., M.M. (Islamic Community Figure), Mulyadi (Islamic Community Figure), and Ahmad Tasori (Professional).
A representative expressed appreciation and conveyed high hopes. He emphasized that the five new leaders must be able to run the organization in accordance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
“We congratulate the leaders of BAZNAS Bekasi City for the 2026-2031 period on their new mandate. We hope this period becomes a momentum for the revival of zakat in Bekasi City with management that is more organized and innovative than before,” he stated in his remarks.
Furthermore, he stressed that they will take on a dual strategic role. In addition to being a collaborative partner, they also position themselves as an independent watchdog from civil society. This is considered crucial to boost the trust level of zakat payers.
“We will continue to closely monitor and oversee BAZNAS’s performance to ensure there is no mismanagement of public funds,” he warned.
Nevertheless, they assured they will not simply be critics. This youth organization pledged to fully cooperate if the programs implemented prove to be beneficial for the people’s welfare.
“However, on the other hand, we are committed to fully supporting all positive innovations and policies that bring benefits for the well-being of the people of Bekasi City,” he concluded.
