Beijing, September 23 – The CSPB’s “2020 China Green Express Report” indicates that China’s green express delivery management has entered a new phase, with a significant increase in environmental awareness within the industry. Green development has become an industry consensus, and efficient operational models have been established. Notable achievements have been made in express delivery packaging reduction and recycling, steadily promoting energy savings and emission reductions.

In terms of green packaging, 83.8% of “thin” tapes are now sealed, 65% of e-commerce express parcels no longer use excessive packaging, 80.9% of recyclable bags are utilized, and an additional 17,000 postal and courier sites have set up packaging waste recycling bins.

Regarding “green” transportation, the number of new energy vehicles in the express delivery sector this year has exceeded 30,000, a 45% increase compared to last year, showing steady growth in the industry. With more large new energy logistics vehicles gaining urban access, new energy express delivery vehicles are scaling up significantly.
